Product Review: MeasuPro Wireless Bicycle Computer and more
This product review is for all of us that ride bike. A lot of the runners do it as cross training, thus I am including this product in my reviews. I have a Fuji road bike. I have a cycling computer attached to it. It has a cord that runs down from the computer on the handlebar to the magnet apparatus that is on the wheel spoke. It works well. When I saw the chance to try a bluetooth one, I jumped at the opportunity. I also have an ElliptiGo, and the handlebars are way higher than the smaller than normal wheels, I was hoping that the bluetooth would work for this bike since there are no cords long enough. #MeasuPro

I found out that the front forks of the Elliptigo are too close to the wheels, and thus this wouldnt work. I was very disappointed. But.. I still had another option. In the winter, I use my husbands trailbike, and put it on a trainer out on the porch. I use that for crosstraining. I have always wanted to know how far I am riding on that bike, but didnt have a computer for it. I decided that I would put this on the trail bike, and then both my husband and I would benefit from it.
The MeasuPro comes with all the attachments you need to effectively hook this up. It’s not hard to do at all. Very easy in fact, since it is wireless. No cords to deal with! It also comes with a heart rate monitor! You wear the strap around your chest and it tracks your heart rate, which is great when you want to ride in the correct heart rate zone for cardio or weight loss etc… This little computer has tons of features!
The sensor attaches to the front fork of the bike, and you put the magnet on a spoke. Then you fix them so they are within 2-5mm apart. That way the sensor picks up the rotation of the tires. The magnet just screws onto the spoke, but you should make sure it is on tight. This is what the setup looks like.
The computer part sits up on your handlebars. You can attach it with the included zipties. But… since I might move it to my own bike every now and then to be able to use the heart rate monitor, I put it on with breadbag twisty ties for now. That gives me the ability to move it back and forth as needed without wasting the zip ties. Ingenious, eh?
So there you have it. Easy to set up and use.
