Product Review: AZSPORT Kinesiology Tape

There are lots of opinions out there as to whether or not Kinesiology Tape really works. From what I have read, both sides can be very convincing. I tend to think it just depends on the injury and what you are doing to treat it. For me, it has been to help with healing of my Achilles tears. Those that know me, know how much it bothered me to not run this winter, and that I tried everything known to man to fix the issue, except surgery. When I saw the chance to review this tape, I jumped at the chance.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received product compensation for this post, though I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

I have to mention that I have an allergy to some types of adhesive. Other brands of tape that I have used, have made my skin raw underneath. Not a pretty site when pulling off the tape…  I am on a quest to find a brand that I can tolerate without issue.

I put some on my Achilles, and found that it went on very easily and stuck to my skin very well. So far no skin irritation! yay! The area where the Achilles tendon attaches to your heel doesn’t have a big blood supply, so anything you can do to get the circulation moving is a plus. I really believe that if you dealing with an injury, this type of treatment certainly isn’t going to make it worse, or hurt you. You have to either have your doctor show you how to apply it to the affected area, or watch some YouTube videos. It’s not hard to figure out.
