I recently received a box of Goodies from VitaCost to try out! (It would have come sooner, but evidently the box was broken into at a shipping facility and I was notified by email.) Andrew at VitaCost came to my rescue with a replacement box~!
I was intrigued by the items included in this box of products.
There seemed to be a theme of "natural" products this time. On top is a container of Volcanic clay that has several uses, then from left to right: Skin cream, pretzel sticks, natural toothpaste, Calming magnesium, and Sea Salt.
First of all, I tried the Protein Pretzel Sticks. Very good! They are coated with cinnamon and were actually very yummy. I tend to be very skeptical with "natural" foods, and it took a lot for me to even open the bag and try them. I was pleasantly surprised with the good taste!
Next I tried the all natural Tooth Paste. The package said that it was Peppermint flavored with tea tree oil. Again, I was a little skeptical... The taste wasnt too bad, and I'm sure that people who love natural ingredients would love this too. I had a hard time getting paste the "look".. as it is a natural brown color and not the normal white of most paste. But... that's me. I am weird that way. Try it.. you'll like this product!
My husband is the cook in the family. He is all about trying new products, and was happy to see the sea salt. He has used this in the past, and has used it with almost every meal every since it arrived. Good price too! Can't go wrong with this one. Once again, VitaCost comes through with a great variety of products for all.
I didn't care of the Volcanic ash.. evidently you can use it as a food supplement in small amounts, and you can use it to wash as it is good for the skin. I didn't like the look or feel of it, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good product. Just not for me! I also didn't care for the skin cream. It has a different kind of fragrance, quite strong actually, and it seemed to set off my allergies. My nose is just sensitive to some odors, and makes me sneeze.
So all in all, Out of the dozens of products I have reviewed for VitaCost, I have only come across a couple that I didn't care for. I would say that VitaCost remains one of my favorite online shopping stores of all time. Thank you to VitaCost for supplying me with products free of charge. All opinions are my own.
