I am presently on week two of the Couch to 5K program.
Back on monday I finished the run with terrible achy-ness from the hips down. The pain was so intense that I barely was able to drive home. It lasted for about 4 hours and then I think I fell asleep.. lol When I woke up the next morning I was ok except for some soreness along my tibia’s.(Shins) I took Tuesday off and tried the same workout again last night. It consists of Running 45 secs, Walking 60 secs, Running 60 secs, Walk 90 secs, Run 90 secs, and Walk 2 minutes. This is done 3 times. Last night I got through 1 1/2 reps and had to quit again, for the same reason. The pain gets really intense and I feel like my muscles are so tight they are going to snap and break! This went on for hours again last night. When I got up this morning, the feeling returned but not as intense. It generally wore off once I showered and got ready for work. I have some residual soreness in my quadriceps and shins, but that’s about it.
I dont know what is causing this, and I need to find a way to get it to stop. Maybe I’m pushing myself too hard, and I should go back to Day 1, Week 1 and start over again.
PS…. -35 lbs!!! 🙂
